have wine; will travel
have wine; will travel

You know those special friendships that are fun and effortless? Chelsea and I have only known each other for a few years; we’re both fairly recent transplants to the city where we live. But we bonded instantly, and she’s become one of my closest friends. We can take a weekend vacation with our husbands, sit on the couch and binge-watch a series, or plan and execute a fundraiser party for 75 people. Our friendship is flexible and easy but never boring.

We love beautiful things, food, wine, cocktails, decorating, and hosting. We’re older sisters who like being in charge. Now that I think about it… I’m not sure how that works. Maybe Chelsea secretly lets me play the older sister sometimes. Or maybe it’s just the magic of our partnership.

We work well together. We could go into business together, but we’ve both got pretty decent day jobs (which help fund our hobbies). Each time we plan or host a gathering, we say we’re going to start a blog. Years later, I’ve finally pulled the trigger as a birthday gift to this awesome woman I call my friend and my amateur party-planning partner. Happy birthday, Chels! Let’s start blogging!

  1. What an awesome idea! I always hear about these extravagant, specific-themed events with wonder (is my older sister just exaggerating again?) and now I can see the proof in the photos and (insert pudding pun). You both are so incredibly talented (I guess the massively ambitious genetics had to go to one of us) and I can’t wait to regularly read about your latest projects!

  2. Last time I checked, Annie, you ARE the older sister. But, I digress. About this blog thing…. do you have your own server? Is it in your basement? Do you keep top secret emails on it ?

    1. We’re using Bluehost and WordPress. Nothing top secret!
